Common questions

How do package sizes relate to consumption units?

Use the item's consumption unit. For a 500 ml bottle, enter ml, a package quantity of 500 and its package cost. Two bottles are 1,000 ml; service use can then be recorded in ml.

When is stock deducted, and what happens if I change a recipe?

Stock is deducted once when an appointment is completed. Each appointment keeps the materials saved when it was created, so changing a recipe affects new bookings. Canceling an appointment that already used stock creates a reversing movement.

Can I plan purchases before stock runs out?

Yes. The forecast compares current stock with materials saved on upcoming appointments and shows projected shortages. Purchase suggestions use thresholds, package sizes and suppliers. They do not place orders or change stock.

Can I see why an item's quantity changed?

Yes. Movement history shows restocking, service or manual use, damage, loss and adjustments, with quantity changes and resulting balances. Different units remain separate.

What is needed for a low-stock alert?

Enable quantity tracking for the item, set its low-stock threshold and enable its alert. Extra email alerts have a separate setting. A threshold alone does not enable notifications.
